The Task Force for the Acceleration of Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Satgas PRR) in Sumatra is pushing for the optimisation of additional Regional Transfer Funds (TKD) for district and city governments across Aceh Province. The move is considered crucial to ensure that rehabilitation and reconstruction activities can commence immediately. Based on the results of the task force’s monitoring and evaluation on Tuesday (4/8), the realisation of additional TKD at the provincial level in Aceh has reached Rp141.162 billion, or 17.11 per cent of the total ceiling of Rp824.818 billion. Meanwhile, realisation for the 23 districts and cities in Aceh stands at Rp98.5 billion, or 11.91 per cent of the Rp827.261 billion ceiling. Imran, a representative of the Aceh Task Force from the Ministry of Home Affairs, stated that although the trend is positive compared to the end of June, the figures still need to be significantly boosted. He emphasised that the disbursed funds should have been realised into packages of rehabilitation and reconstruction activities. To accelerate this, the Aceh Administration’s Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development, Teuku Robby Irza, announced that a dedicated team will be deployed to the field. This team will monitor the realisation of the budget and physical construction progress on a weekly basis. Robby added that efforts are also underway to synchronise rehabilitation and reconstruction activities between central government ministries and local administrations to prevent overlapping programmes. He noted that out of 23 ministries and agencies, 15 have confirmed their budget allocations, and 9 have had their activities verified, leaving 6 still to be reviewed.
