Task force deployed to maintain communication services during Lebaran
The government, through Kemkomdigi, will continue conducting regular monitoring to ensure that telecommunications services run smoothly throughout the Ramadan and Lebaran 2026 period, said Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) Ismail at an officer deployment ceremony in Jakarta on Friday.
The task force established by Kemkomdigi together with mobile operators XLSMART, Telkomsel, and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) is tasked with monitoring the quality of telecommunications services at strategic locations from 13 to 29 March 2026.
“This collaboration is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to providing a better and more comfortable homecoming experience for the Indonesian people,” Ismail said.
The communication service monitoring task force has been deployed at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Gambir Station, Semarang Tawang Station, KCIC Halim Station, and Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya.
Monitoring officers have also been assigned to Rest Area 57 (during the homecoming period) and Rest Area 62 (during the return period), Merak Port in Banten (during homecoming) and Bakauheni Port in Lampung (during the return), as well as Gilimanuk Port in Bali (during homecoming) and Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi (during the return period).
At these posts, residents can obtain information about telecommunications service packages from mobile operators and directly view Kemkomdigi’s telecommunications monitoring equipment.
“Our Balmon colleagues will continue to move to ensure that the frequencies used by our operator friends are secure,” said Wayan.
All monitoring results are integrated into the Communications Monitoring Centre at Kemkomdigi’s office in Central Jakarta.
Kemkomdigi is also preparing an Early Warning System (EWS) and upgrading the performance of Call Centre 112, which is available in 190 regencies and cities across Indonesia to support telecommunications service delivery for the public.
