Tasikmalaya Public Works Office Partners with State-Owned Insurer to Guarantee Infrastructure Projects

PT Askrindo (Persero) Branch Office Tasikmalaya has entered into a partnership with the Tasikmalaya Regency Public Works, Spatial Planning, Public Housing, Settlement Areas, and Environment Office (PUTRLH) to strengthen risk mitigation for infrastructure projects through surety and insurance services. The collaboration was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Branch Manager Class III Askrindo Tasikmalaya, Rendy Ramadhan Lubis, and Head of the Tasikmalaya Regency PUTRLH Office, Deden Ramdhan Nugraha, at the PUTRLH office meeting room in West Java. The initiative aims to enhance synergy between the state-owned enterprise and the regional government in managing risks for strategic projects, particularly construction works under the authority of the PUTRLH Office. Askrindo’s Business Director, Budhi Novianto, stated that the partnership is part of the company’s commitment to supporting accountable regional infrastructure development. ‘This strategic partnership is part of Askrindo’s ongoing commitment to supporting the acceleration of regional infrastructure development in an accountable manner. By providing comprehensive insurance products, Askrindo is here to mitigate financial and operational risks of construction projects from an early stage, so that all work programmes of the Tasikmalaya Regency PUTRLH Office can be carried out safely, with the right quality, and on time,’ he said on Wednesday. According to Budhi, the provision of surety and insurance services is expected to provide legal certainty and enhance security in the execution of government construction projects. Head of the Tasikmalaya Regency PUTRLH Office, Deden Ramdhan Nugraha, welcomed the collaboration, noting that professional risk mitigation instruments are crucial for minimising potential obstacles during project implementation. ‘We positively welcome this collaboration with PT Askrindo. Professional insurance protection is a crucial instrument in minimising the risk of failure in the field and increasing certainty in construction implementation. With better risk governance, we are optimistic that infrastructure development and the management of settlement areas and the environment in Tasikmalaya Regency can be realised more optimally, safely, and competitively,’ he said. Through this partnership, both parties hope that the surety and insurance services can be immediately applied to various development programmes managed by the Tasikmalaya Regency PUTRLH Office. In addition to supporting more transparent, professional, and accountable project implementation, the collaboration is also expected to open up further opportunities for cooperation between Askrindo and the Tasikmalaya Regency Government in supporting future regional development.
