Tasikmalaya Hospital Staff Faces Sanctions for Mocking BPJS Patient
A social media user, who turned out to be an employee of RSUD dr Soekardjo in Tasikmalaya, made a harsh comment on a post by the late Yurizal Tri Chaerawan, a BPJS patient who claimed he waited eight hours to get a treatment room. The hospital staff member now faces sanctions. The Director of RSUD dr Soekardjo Tasikmalaya, dr Budi Tirmadi, confirmed that the individual under public scrutiny is an employee at the institution he leads. “It is true she is our employee, but it needs to be clarified that the person concerned is not a health worker but an ordinary administrative staff member,” Budi said. The woman, with the initials NZ, is known to be a part-time PPPK civil servant. For her harsh comment, NZ is threatened with sanctions. Budi said his office has directly clarified the matter with the individual concerned. “The person concerned has been summoned to face her direct superior. A statement has also been taken,” he added. Budi added that because NZ is a part-time PPPK employee, his office is awaiting direction from the Municipal Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) and the Tasikmalaya City Inspectorate regarding the sanctions to be applied. The two related agencies have also taken steps to handle this case. “We will take action according to the criteria outlined in the PPPK contract, whether it constitutes a minor, moderate, or serious violation,” Budi said. It was previously reported that Elda Putri Rahardini, a student of the Specialist Doctor Education Programme at the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada, also mocked Yurizal’s post. UGM is currently conducting an investigation. “Coordinating with various related parties to ensure that the examination process takes place objectively, transparently, and upholds the principle of justice for all parties,” said the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prof dr Yodi Mahendradhata.
