Tasikmalaya District Attorney's Office Committed to Integrity-Driven and Humanist Law Enforcement

The Tasikmalaya District Attorney’s Office in West Java held a simple thanksgiving and social gathering to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Indonesian Prosecutor’s Office (RI).

The commemoration adopted a national theme focused on restoring public trust through law enforcement that is integrous, fair, and humanist, while strengthening legal services that side with the community.

The Head of the Tasikmalaya District Attorney’s Office, Erny Veronica Maramba, stated that the anniversary serves as an evaluation period to strengthen the commitment of all employees to restore public confidence. She emphasised that a humanist approach is essential so that the law is not merely sharp in its application but also aligns with the community’s sense of justice.

“In celebrating the 81st Anniversary of the Prosecutor’s Office, according to our theme and current duties, we must continue to nurture and restore public trust through fair, integrous, and conscientious law enforcement,” said Erny on Wednesday (2/9).

She added that prosecutors and staff are encouraged to maintain professionalism in every case handled through a humanist approach, ensuring the law serves the people’s sense of justice.

“Integrity is non-negotiable. Without it, public trust will never be restored. Now, let us prove this through real work on the ground,” she asserted.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of Tasikmalaya, Diky Candranegara, expressed his appreciation, noting that the simple thanksgiving ceremony was full of meaning regarding togetherness. He also noted that the Tasikmalaya District Attorney’s Office has been active in providing space for students to learn about the law, which is a vital step in building legal awareness from an early age.
