The Tasikmalaya City Government prioritises maintaining the quality of education. The Tasikmalaya City Government in West Java has implemented Work From Anywhere (WFA) for civil servants (ASN) starting from Wednesday to Thursday (25-26 March). This policy serves as a measure to regulate the mobility of civil servants (ASN) after the long holiday while still maintaining the quality of public services.

The Secretary of Tasikmalaya City, Asep Goparullah, stated that the implementation of Work From Anywhere (WFA) for civil servants in the government environment follows Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. However, the policy will be applied starting from Wednesday and Thursday (25-26 March) for two days, with some entering the office and others working outside the office.

“We are implementing Work From Anywhere (WFA) for ASN in the government environment for two days, and then on Friday (27 March), all employees will enter, with no more WFA. Currently, the condition is relatively starting to provide good services to the community, and everyone must continue to maintain the quality of public services,” he said on Thursday (26 March 2026).

According to Asep, the main purpose of employees undergoing Work From Anywhere (WFA) is to reduce traffic flow during the Lebaran return flow and provide work flexibility. However, ASN are urged to work from home under WFA and not to use it as an opportunity for holidays. This is because the regional government will hold a halal bihalal on Monday (30 March).

“ASN who carry out WFA should be responsible, and work matters must be carried out in accordance with the existing provisions. However, the employees entering now are only 50 percent in the Tasikmalaya City Regional Secretariat environment,” he said.

According to him, for the first and second days of work, all ASN must provide the best service to the community by giving even better services, and those carrying out WFA must work online, especially to provide services.

“ASN who carry out WFA must remain responsible for their duties and responsibilities, and must be ready to be contacted at any time if needed. The regional government will also continue to conduct supervision so that under WFA, it is for working, not holidaying,” he concluded.
