Taruna Bhakti Programme Commences at Gunung Mas People's School

The Taruna Bhakti 2026 programme has officially commenced at the Integrated People’s School 54 in Gunung Mas Regency, Central Kalimantan, involving five Police Academy (Akpol) cadets and supervising officers.

Gunung Mas Police Chief AKBP Arum Sari Pupita Dewi stated in Kuala Kurun on Tuesday that the activity is part of the police force’s educational and humanistic approach to the school environment. “The personnel involved in this activity number seven people, consisting of five Akpol cadets, one Akpol Supervising Officer, and one Supervising Officer from the Central Kalimantan Regional Police,” she said.

The activity will take place over the coming days, with the five Akpol cadets delivering a range of materials. On the first day, the material presented related to student character and personality development.

Ipda Sabar Hari S, the Taruna Bhakti Coordinator at the Gunung Mas Police level, also coordinated with the school to align the implementation of the agenda so that it proceeds in an orderly manner according to the planned schedule. Through this programme, the Akpol cadets are expected to gain valuable field experience during their assignment in Gunung Mas, while simultaneously strengthening the synergy between the police and the educational environment that the local police continue to pursue.

The People’s School programme entered Gunung Mas as a pilot project in 2025, when lessons were conducted at the Hotel Gunung Mas Kuala Kurun with a total of 100 students. Construction of the permanent People’s School in Tumbang Tambirah Village, Kurun District, began on 26 January 2026, encompassing the building of elementary, junior high, and senior high school facilities, as well as male and female dormitories and other structures. Construction of the permanent buildings is ongoing. Some buildings have been completed and are being used for the School Environment Introduction Period for new students of the 2026/2027 academic year.
