Targeting Persons with Disabilities and the Poor, BSN Distributes Hundreds of Basic Commodity Packages

Jakarta – PT Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN) collaborated with the BSN Journalists Forum to organise a social activity titled “Blessed Ramadan, BSN and Press Community Synergy Strengthening Social Compassion” on Friday, 13 March 2023. The initiative demonstrated the bank’s commitment to supporting communities in need, particularly as Eid al-Fitr 1445 AH approached.

During the event, BSN and press representatives distributed hundreds of basic commodity packages across various areas in and around Greater Jakarta. In total, approximately 300 commodity packages were distributed to communities in need.

BSN Chief Executive Officer Alex Sofjan Noor stated that the company strongly supported the social activities initiated by the BSN Journalists Forum. He noted that the collaboration between BSN and the press extended beyond merely publicising company activities to delivering concrete action that benefited communities and their surrounding environment.

“The press community are our partners in publicising various company activities. Through social activities such as this, we hope to deliver tangible benefits and assist communities in need,” Alex said in a written statement in Jakarta on Friday (13 March).

Alex further emphasised that the distribution initiative forms part of BSN’s commitment to remain present within communities and contribute positively, particularly to groups requiring greater attention.

The recipients of the basic commodity packages targeted diverse groups, including persons with disabilities, the disadvantaged, the destitute, orphans, security personnel, and residents in the vicinity of BSN’s operational offices.

Roni Mawardi, Chairman of the BSN Journalists Forum, expressed appreciation to BSN for its support in implementing the activity. He stated that the collaboration between BSN and the press community in the social initiative represented positive synergy capable of delivering direct impact to communities.

“We extend our gratitude to BSN for supporting the Press Community Sharing initiative. We hope this assistance will help communities in need, particularly as Eid approaches,” Roni said.

Through this activity, BSN and the Journalists Forum hope that the spirit of sharing and social compassion will continue to grow and serve as inspiration for various parties to collectively assist communities in need.
