PT Perta Arun Gas (PAG) is ensuring its position as a vital LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) hub in Asia through infrastructure and regasification services that boast the world’s largest re-export loading volume of natural liquefied gas, amounting to 0.85 million tonnes, representing a 17.3% global market share.

Muhammad Yudi Setiawan, Finance & GS Director of PT Perta Arun Gas, revealed several strategies employed by PAG to strengthen its position as Asia’s LNG Hub, one of which involves the revitalisation of the Arun F-6004 LNG tank and supporting facilities to reach a volume of 127,000 m³, which could increase the utilisation of the Arun terminal by up to 25%.

PAG’s move to increase LNG tank capacity will create larger storage space, thereby attracting more consumers while simultaneously reinforcing PAG’s position as an LNG and re-export hub.

PAG also aims to strengthen its LNG facility business by targeting the storage, processing, and distribution of gas from the Andaman Block gas field; to this end, PAG is enhancing the reliability of its HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) aspects. Additionally, PAG possesses regasification facilities with a capacity of 135,000 MMBTU across three units, alongside four condensate tanks and four LPG tanks.

In the long term, PAG also targets the construction of four LNG tanks, the revitalisation of fuel oil and LPG tanks, the development of a Gas Processing Facility (GPF), and the construction of two petrochemical H2 Plant units as part of its strategy to strengthen its business as a world-class integrated energy hub.
