Targeted for July Operation, Minister Dody and Brantas Abipraya Accelerate Completion of Sekolah Rakyat in Bogor Regency

Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo, through a mandate to PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero), is accelerating the construction of a Sekolah Rakyat in Sipak Village, Jasinga District, Bogor Regency, West Java. Dody is targeting the project to be ready for operation by July 2026, in time for the 2026/2027 new academic year. He emphasised that the construction of this Sekolah Rakyat is a tangible commitment by the government to build superior human resources. “The Ministry of Public Works wants to ensure this educational facility is built quickly and with quality, so it can be immediately utilised by the community and support equitable access to education,” Dody stated on Tuesday, 30 June 2026. Built on a 6.96-hectare plot of land with hilly contours at an altitude of approximately 161 metres above sea level, this integrated educational area is designed to accommodate up to 1,080 students at the primary, junior secondary, and senior secondary levels. The surrounding mountain panorama provides a comfortable learning atmosphere while supporting the creation of a healthy and sustainable educational environment. Brantas Abipraya Corporate Secretary Dian Sovana said the construction of the Sekolah Rakyat represents the company’s tangible contribution to delivering quality educational infrastructure that directly impacts the community. “Through the construction of the Sekolah Rakyat in Bogor Regency, we continue to provide quality, safe educational facilities that are completed on time so they can be immediately utilised by the community,” Dian said. She explained that the construction of the Bogor Regency Sekolah Rakyat posed unique challenges, as the project site was previously a forest area with contoured land and fairly extreme slopes. Before construction could begin, the project team had to carry out land maturation work using the cut and fill method for approximately two months. Furthermore, high rainfall intensity and limited access to the location also posed challenges for material mobilisation and construction execution. To ensure the work proceeds optimally, Brantas Abipraya implemented meticulous construction planning, strengthened on-site coordination, and consistently applied safety and quality standards. “Currently, the work is focused on the finishing stage of the buildings and the reinforcement of retaining walls to ensure the safety of the area located in the hills,” he said.
