Tarakan Holds Iraw Tengkayu XV Parade as Cultural Preservation Effort

A total of 4,411 participants from various community elements filled the main streets of Tarakan City, North Kalimantan, to enliven the Iraw Tengkayu XV Cultural Parade on Saturday. The series of the largest cultural festival in Tarakan City, which has again been included in the Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) 2026, featured a variety of cultural attractions and a decorated vehicle parade as a tangible manifestation of local cultural preservation as well as a unifying space for the community amidst the currents of modernisation.
