Tapanuli Selatan, North Sumatra (ANTARA) - The Regent of Tapanuli Selatan (Tapsel), North Sumatra, Gus Irawan Pasaribu, hopes that holiday travellers passing through the Tapsel area will utilise the Eid 2026 mudik security posts. “The facilities at these posts are quite complete, including rest areas and free health checks for those who stop by,” said Gus Irawan Pasaribu during his inspection of the mudik security post location in Parsariran Village, Batangtoru Subdistrict, Tapsel Regency, on Wednesday. According to him, travellers are also urged not to push themselves if they show signs of fatigue from driving long distances. This is to maintain safe conditions during the Eid homecoming. He further noted that travellers should pay attention to roads damaged by flash floods some time ago. The government is still working to repair the damaged roads, so travellers need to anticipate those routes. Meanwhile, those passing through North Tapanuli via Batu Jomba should also be careful, as many roads have been affected by landslides that occurred recently. “Once again, these are still under repair. Please always maintain vigilance and caution by drivers to reduce speed at points where landslides have occurred,” he explained. Tapsel itself has four mudik security post locations for Eid 2026, starting from the Batu Jomba area, Palsabolas, Parsariran, and also in Aek Sijorni. These security post locations are also situated at vital points. Each security post is equipped with personnel on duty, from TNI, Polri, local government, firefighters, to health workers.
