Tanjung Priok Port Services Resume Normal Operations Following Gate Pass System Upgrade
Operational services at the container terminal in Tanjung Priok port are currently operating normally. Cargo loading and unloading activities as well as vehicle entry and exit continue as usual, supporting uninterrupted logistics flow at Indonesia’s largest port.
Yandri Trisaputra, Executive General Manager of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) Regional 2 Tanjung Priok, explained that an improvement to the gate pass issuance system at the container terminal had been implemented. This step was part of broader efforts to enhance service quality and optimise the management of logistics vehicle traffic entering and leaving the port area.
“We implemented this gate pass system upgrade to ensure that logistics vehicle traffic can be managed in a more orderly and efficient manner. The system adjustment process has been completed and is now operating normally,” Yandri stated.
He emphasised that the port will continue providing services to users whilst prioritising collaborative principles with all stakeholders in the port area.
“Synergy between port operators, regulators, and service users is the key to maintaining smooth operations within the port area,” he explained.
Pelindo’s current primary focus, Yandri continued, is to ensure logistics activities in the port area continue to run smoothly, given the port’s strategic role in supporting goods distribution and the national economy.
Furthermore, goods flow at the port is significantly influenced by traffic conditions in the surrounding port area. Therefore, support and coordination from all stakeholders are needed to maintain smooth logistics vehicle movement and traffic in the port area and surrounding regions.
“We continue to coordinate with various parties to ensure port operations run well. Our hope is that goods flow and national logistics distribution can continue to operate smoothly,” Yandri concluded.
