Tanjung Priok Port Police Probe Author of Letter Requesting Eid al-Fitr THR from Truck Operators

Jakarta, KOMPAS.com - The Tanjung Priok Port Police (Polres Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok) are tracing the author of a letter requesting the Idul Fitri THR for 1447 Hijri from the Indonesian Truck Employers Association (Aptrindo).

The Head of the Tanjung Priok Port Police, AKBP Aris Wibowo, said that they had never issued any document containing a request for THR to mark Eid al-Fitr. ‘The investigation is ongoing. In essence, we at the Tanjung Priok Port Police have never issued such a letter,’ he told Kompas.com on Thursday, 5 March 2026.

‘We have also coordinated with the management of Aptrindo,’ he added.

He noted that Aptrindo had issued a clarification letter regarding the existence of the letter. ‘Aptrindo has also issued a clarification letter (the attached letter) to prevent anyone from being harmed,’ he added.

The Head of the Traffic Unit (Kasat Lantas) of the Tanjung Priok Port Police, AKP Ganjar Tejasasmita, also denied the existence of the letter. He stressed that the author of the letter would be investigated.

Previously, a letter circulated bearing the header of the Tanjung Priok Port Police with reference number B/01/III/2026/Sat Lantas regarding Participation in Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 to the Director/Head of PT KPA Transport, dated 4 March 2026.

The letter stated that the Traffic Unit of the Tanjung Priok Port Police family sought THR assistance and, in advance, thanked for the help and participation.
