Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Tanjung Priok Port Police Resort (Polres Kawasan Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok), North Jakarta, has denied sending a letter requesting the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday allowance (THR) to the Indonesian Truck Entrepreneurs Association (Aptrindo) via a photo of the letter that has circulated widely on several social media platforms.

“The Tanjung Priok Port Police Resort has never issued such a letter,” said the Chief of Tanjung Priok Port Police, AKBP Aris Wibowo, in Jakarta on Thursday.

He said the Port Police had also coordinated with Aptrindo’s management and they had issued a clarification letter related to the issue.

“For this incident we will investigate those who purport to represent the Tanjung Priok Port Police,” he said.

The Head of Traffic Unit (Kasat Lantas) of the Tanjung Priok Port Police, AKP Ganjar Tejasasmita, also denied the existence of the letter.

He emphasised that the letter is not true and that they will investigate who created the letter.

However, it is regrettable that Aptrindo did not reconfirm with the Tanjung Priok Port Police about the letter but instead posted it on social media.

Earlier, a letter with the Polres Kawasan Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok letterhead circulating, numbered B/01/III/2026/Sat Lantas, concerning Participation in Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 to the Director/Head of Transportation Company PT KPA, dated 4 March 2026, was circulating.

In the letter, it states that the Sat Lantas of the Tanjung Priok Port Police would appreciate THR assistance and thanks for the aid and participation.

However, at the bottom of the letter there is a police stamp and the sender’s name is listed as “staff” rather than the full name of a police member with a Nomor Registrasi Pokok (NRP) who sent the letter.
