The Tanjung Priok Port Police, North Jakarta, deny that it issued a letter requesting assistance for the holiday allowance (THR) to employers.

Earlier, a screenshot of a letter circulated and went viral, bearing the heading of the Tanjung Priok Port Police with number B/01/III/2026/Satlantas dated 04 March 2026. The letter also stated the subject ‘Participation in Eid al-Fitr 1447 H Year 2026’.

Referring to the circulating letter, it was addressed to the Director/Head of Transport Company PT. KPA. At the bottom of the letter it also read Sat Lantas Polres Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok.

“In the run-up to Eid al-Fitr 1447 H / 2026 CE, we, the extended family of Sat Lantas of the Tanjung Priok Port Police, are requesting assistance for the Tunjangan Hari Raya from you, for your participation and cooperation,” read the line in the letter.

On confirmation, the Chief of Tanjung Priok Port Police AKBP Aris Wibowo emphasised that they had never issued such THR letter.

“We from the Tanjung Priok Port Police do not issue such a letter,” Aris told reporters on Wednesday night (4/3).

As the circulating letter spread, Aris said they had coordinated with the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Indonesian Trucking Entrepreneurs Association (APTRINDO) Jakarta Province.

Aris noted that APTRINDO had also issued a clarification letter addressed to all trucking operators.

“Based on direct confirmation conducted by DPD APTRINDO DKI Jakarta with Polres Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, Kapolres Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok AKBP Aris Wibowo, SIK, MH, states that the letter is not an official letter issued by Polres Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, but is suspected to be an act by an individual impersonating Satlantas Polres Pelabuhan Priok,” reads the letter issued by DPD APTRINDO Jakarta.

In its letter, DPD APTRINDO Jakarta also urged all trucking companies operating in the Tanjung Priok Port area to ignore and not respond to any form of request, whether in the form of a letter, direct communication, or other means, that claims to involve the police, especially Polres Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, regarding requests for participation or assistance in any form whose authenticity cannot be confirmed.
