Tanjung Priok Police educate students on artificial intelligence utilisation
The Tanjung Priok Port Police have educated students at SMK Al Jihad, Papanggo, North Jakarta, on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) through the Paham AI Programme.
“This activity is part of the police’s efforts to educate the younger generation so they can understand technological developments wisely and responsibly,” said Tanjung Priok Port Police Chief AKBP Alrasyidin Fajri in Jakarta on Thursday.
He said the Paham AI Programme not only provides students with insight into artificial intelligence, but also encourages them to use technology positively, intelligently and responsibly.
According to him, understanding digital technology must be balanced with awareness of the various risks that can arise in cyberspace.
His office also provided an understanding of the importance of maintaining security and ethics in using digital technology.
“Including as an effort to prevent various forms of cybercrime that can target students,” said Alrasyidin.
Through this educational activity, the Tanjung Priok Port Police also encourages the creation of a young generation that is not only technologically literate.
“We also encourage them to be able to utilise the development of artificial intelligence to support the learning process and other positive activities,” said Alrasyidin.
A total of 80 students took part in the activity, with speakers from the Tanjung Priok Port Police including First Inspector Daffa Raihantara Budiman, Brigadier Aditia Juniardi W, Police Brigadier Dimas, and Police Brigadier Alfian Awaludin.
The students received material on an introduction to artificial intelligence, including a basic understanding of the development and use of AI in everyday life and in education.
In addition to the material presentation, participants also took part in AI pretests and posttests, a ‘Cerita Jeda’ activity, and received automatic Paham AI Programme certificates for students who completed the evaluation series.
The participants were also introduced to the Senopati Academy website as a supporting facility for learning and developing knowledge about technology.
