Container terminal operational services at the Tanjung Priok port area are currently functioning normally. Loading and unloading activities and the movement of container transport vehicles are proceeding as usual, continuing to support the smooth flow of logistics at Indonesia’s largest port.

Executive General Manager of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) Regional 2 Tanjung Priok, Yandri Trisaputra, explained that improvements had been made to the gate pass issuance system at the container terminal. This measure is part of efforts to enhance service quality and optimise the management of logistics vehicle traffic flowing in and out of the port area.

“We are implementing this gate pass system improvement to ensure that container transport vehicle traffic management operates more orderly and efficiently. The system adjustment process has been completed and the system is currently operating normally,” said Yandri.

He emphasised that the port will continue to provide services to users by prioritising the principle of collaboration with all stakeholders in the port area.

“Synergy between port operators, regulators, and service users is the key to maintaining smooth operations in the port area,” he explained.

The main focus of Pelindo at present, Yandri continued, is to ensure that logistics activities in the port area continue to run smoothly, given the strategic role of the port in supporting goods distribution and the national economy.

Additionally, the smooth flow of goods at the port is also significantly influenced by traffic conditions in the surrounding port area. Therefore, support and coordination from all stakeholders are needed to maintain smooth movement of logistics vehicles and traffic in the port area and surrounding regions.

“We continue to coordinate with various parties to ensure port operations run well. Hopefully, goods flow and national logistics distribution can continue to be maintained smoothly,” concluded Yandri.
