Tanjung Priok as Main Contributor to PTP Nonpetikemas Supporting Logistics
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) recorded positive performance in the first quarter of 2026, with the Tanjung Priok branch serving as the main contributor to revenue and loading/unloading volume (throughput) in supporting the smooth flow of national logistics.
In the first quarter of 2026, PTP Nonpetikemas through the Tanjung Priok branch contributed 58.82% of revenue and significantly contributed 32.4% to the total throughput of PTP Nonpetikemas for the first quarter of 2026 in terms of performance achievement.
“Meanwhile, in terms of SPMT Group performance, PTP Nonpetikemas Tanjung Priok Branch recorded impressive performance with throughput reaching 4.03 million tonnes/m³, equivalent to 14% of the total throughput from multi-terminal services across the group at 27.64 million tonnes/m³,” said Branch Manager of PTP Nonpetikemas Tanjung Priok Branch Budi Utoyo during the Media Visit to PTP Nonpetikemas Tanjung Priok Branch, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
Budi stated that this achievement (year-on-year) rose by 12% compared to the realisation for the same period the previous year, which reached 12.08 million tonnes. Wait, that seems inconsistent; perhaps a typo in original, but proceeding with translation.
This surge was supported by the dominance of general cargo services (8.49 million tonnes), backed by increases in dry bulk commodities (4.45 million tonnes), liquid bulk (1.4 million tonnes), and bag cargo (62.3 thousand tonnes), making Tanjung Priok the largest contributor to national performance.
In line with that, Director of Commercial and Business Development as well as Acting Director of Operations of PTP Nonpetikemas Dwi Rahmad Toto S also emphasised that the Tanjung Priok Branch is the main foundation for achieving national throughput.
His side continues to enhance multipurpose services through productivity optimisation, implementation of the PTOS-M digital system, and facility updates.
“Supported by certified human resources, we are confident that Tanjung Priok will continue to be an operational benchmark in the port industry,” said Toto.
For competitive T/S/D performance at the SPMT Group level. In the general cargo segment, the Tanjung Priok Branch ranked first up to the first quarter with a cumulative realisation of 4,024 or about 130% of the target of 3,097, making it the main contributor in that line.
In addition to traffic achievements, the Tanjung Priok Branch also recorded significant improvements in loading/unloading productivity, which contributed to the consolidated performance achievement of PTP Nonpetikemas.
This aligns with the company’s commitment to providing efficient, safe, and competitive services as well as driving national economic growth through Tanjung Priok Port as the main logistics distribution hub.
With this performance, PTP Nonpetikemas, which is a subsidiary of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT) as part of the Pelindo Group, is optimistic about maintaining growth momentum and continuing to strengthen its contribution to the company’s performance sustainably.
PTP Nonpetikemas Tanjung Priok Branch operates a multipurpose terminal that serves various types of general cargo, dry bulk, liquid bulk, bag cargo, unitised, and livestock commodities.
General cargo commodities include steel products, pulp, and construction goods. Dry bulk commodities include sand, coal, raw sugar, cement, and fertiliser.
Meanwhile, for liquid bulk, the handled commodities are crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivatives, and for unitised and livestock, the handled commodities are heavy equipment, cars, motorcycles, and cattle.
PTP Nonpetikemas Tanjung Priok Branch has quay facilities with a length for Area 1 of 1,639 metres with a maximum depth of -7 MLWS and Area 2 of 1,675 metres with a maximum depth of -12 MLWS.
In addition, PTP Nonpetikemas Tanjung Priok Branch has a stacking yard area of 158,342 m² and a stacking warehouse of 26,191 m².
To support the continuity of loading/unloading activities, PTP Nonpetikemas Tanjung Priok Branch also has available equipment facilities including 11 GLC units, 8 hopper units, 8 grab units, 1 forklift 7-ton unit, and 9 weighbridge units.
