South Tangerang City Government has received an award in the High-Performing City category in the evaluation of the Local Government Performance Report (LPPD) from the Ministry of Home Affairs on the occasion of the 30th Regional Autonomy (OTDA) Day, on Monday (27/4/2026). In the national evaluation, South Tangerang City ranked third nationally with a score of 3.8023 (high category), a significant increase compared to four years earlier. South Tangerang Mayor Benyamin Davnie, who directly received the award, stated that this achievement indicates an improvement in the quality of government governance, public services, and regional development. The LPPD assessment covers 25 mandatory affairs and 8 optional affairs under the authority of local governments. All of these are translated into programmes, activities, and budget policies implemented throughout the 2025 fiscal year. According to him, the evaluation process was conducted comprehensively and in detail, from programme policies, activity implementation, to the outputs and outcomes produced. The report is also linked to local and national planning documents, such as the RPJMD and RPJMN. “The Regional Autonomy Day commemoration is not merely ceremonial, but a moment of reflection to strengthen commitment in improving the quality of local government administration and public services,” Benyamin said. Based on LPPD evaluation data, South Tangerang’s performance ranking has continued to improve, from 23rd nationally in 2022 with a score of 2.95 (medium category), to 12th in 2023 with a score of 3.43, then rising to 9th in 2024 with a score of 3.54, until entering the national top three in 2025. According to Benyamin, this achievement is the result of the work of all regional apparatus and community support. This also serves as material for evaluation for sustainable governance improvements.
