Tangsel Disdukcapil Website Hacked, Suddenly Displays Online Gambling Promotion

TANGERANG SELATAN, KOMPAS.com - The official website of the Tangerang Selatan Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) was temporarily hacked, resulting in the display of content promoting online gambling sites. The website, located at rumahdukcapil.tangerangselatan.go.id, which is intended for online population administration services, exhibited an unusual appearance at the end of last weekend. The Head of Disdukcapil for Tangerang Selatan City, Cahyadi, confirmed the disruption. The hacking was first detected on Saturday and Sunday when the system began showing irregularities. Upon discovering this, Disdukcapil immediately coordinated with the Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo) to carry out prompt handling and system checks. “We immediately contacted Diskominfo for an inspection,” he said. The technical team then performed repairs or maintenance until the system was restored and could be accessed as usual. “It has been maintained (repaired) by Diskominfo,” Cahyadi stated. Due to the incident, online population administration services were temporarily disrupted and inaccessible. “If services are disrupted, that’s certain, but we continue with on-the-spot services,” he added. After the recovery process was completed, the Tangsel Disdukcapil website has now returned to normal and can be used again by the public. Disdukcapil also plans to strengthen system oversight in collaboration with relevant agencies to prevent similar incidents from recurring.
