TANGERANG SELATAN, KOMPAS.com - The Tangerang Selatan City Government (Pemkot Tangsel) has not yet imposed sanctions on civil servants (ASN) who are not diligent in their attendance during the work-from-home (WFH) policy implemented every Friday.

The Head of the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of Tangsel, Wahyudi Leksono, stated that no sanctions have been given to ASN who are not compliant with attendance because everyone is still in an adjustment period.

“So far, there have been no sanctions. Why not? As I said, this is a new method where each employee is still adjusting,” said Wahyudi in Setu, Tangsel, on Wednesday (13/5/2026).

Over one month of implementation, BKPSDM has evaluated the WFH application and still found ASN who are not diligent in conducting attendance.

One finding was that there are ASN who list ‘external duties’ when doing attendance.

“During WFH, the first attendance registration is done at each person’s home. However, some have ‘external duties’ listed, even though it should be WFH,” he said.

Nevertheless, he assessed that the WFH policy is still relatively new, so employees need time to adapt.

However, Wahyudi did not rule out the possibility that the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) will implement stricter rules for ASN who are not compliant in carrying out WFH.

Furthermore, Wahyudi admitted that they have not found any attendance manipulation using fake GPS or additional applications.

This is because he said the current ASN attendance system is based on geolocation or GPS, making it difficult to manipulate and minimising fraud.

“I think our team has anticipated to prevent any hacking or fake data,” said Wahyudi.

The evaluation of WFH implementation is conducted every month, and the results are sent to BKN.

“There is an evaluation every month. On the 4th of every month, we send the report to BKN,” he said.
