Tangerang: Wife murders husband; victim's body found with multiple stab wounds
A woman in Tigaraksa, Tangerang Regency, Banten, identified by the initials EA (25), stabbed her husband, Andi (53), to death. The perpetrator surrendered to the police.
According to Antara, on Friday (6 March 2026), Purwanto, Secretary of RT/RW 02/03, said that based on initial information the murder occurred on Thursday afternoon (5 March). Purwanto explained that local residents only learned of the murder case on Friday (6 March) around 11:30 local time after investigators from Polresta Tangerang conducted a crime scene examination (TKP).
“At first I learned of it after being assigned by the RT with information that there was a death. Then I arrived and there were police officers, and I accompanied the process of examining the crime scene,” he said.
He explained that based on the crime scene analysis at the house, there was a dead man lying stiff in his bed. From his observations, several body parts of the victim named Andi were full of wounds from a sharp weapon.
“When I saw the body in the room. The position was prone, without clothes, wearing long trousers, the body already stiff with many stab wounds (more than 3) on the legs, arms, and waist,” he said.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim) of Polresta Tangerang, Kompol Septa Badoyo, confirmed the murder. She said after killing her husband, the perpetrator immediately surrendered to the investigation team.
Subsequently, in response, the Inafis team of the Criminal Investigation Unit from Polresta Tangerang immediately conducted a crime scene examination and evacuated the victim’s body for autopsy.
“Yes, that’s right, we will conduct the crime scene investigation; we will inform developments later,” she said.
Septa noted that the police are still investigating the alleged perpetrator while awaiting autopsy results. This is done to reveal the case based on the facts and to determine the motive of the alleged murder.
“Please give us time for handling the case; we are still conducting investigations to avoid misreporting,” she said.
