Tangerang Warehouse Fire Under Control After Six-Hour Blaze

Firefighters from the Tangerang Regency Fire Department remain at the scene of a fire in a warehouse complex in the Kosambi area of Tangerang Regency, Banten. Officials have now managed to bring the blaze under control and are in the process of cooling down the site.

“The cooling-down process is underway,” said an officer from the Tangerang Regency Fire Department’s operations control centre on Sunday (9/8/2026).

According to the officer, there were no casualties in the incident. “Information from our personnel confirms there are no victims,” he said.

The fire department received the initial report at 11:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. A total of 12 fire engines were deployed to the scene—10 from the Tangerang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency and two from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Fire Service.

The fire engulfed three warehouses storing motorcycle spare parts. Footage shared by the Tangerang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency showed flames consuming goods inside the warehouses as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
