Tangerang Police Chief: Fuel Availability at Homecoming Route Petrol Stations Sufficient
Tangerang — The Tangerang Metro Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari, confirmed that fuel supplies at petrol stations along the homecoming route remain adequate based on direct inspection today.
“Fuel is still available in abundance, conditions remain normal and there are no queues. The petrol station operators have even prepared iftar meals for the homecoming travellers who refuel,” said Senior Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari during monitoring of Lebaran 2026 homecoming traffic at the Rest Area Service Post KM 13.5 Pinang on Sunday.
In addition to monitoring fuel availability, the authorities ensured that rest areas and petrol stations remained secure and orderly.
The monitoring was conducted to ensure smooth vehicle flow from Jakarta towards Tangerang-Merak and to assess the readiness of service facilities for homecoming travellers.
“We, together with TNI personnel, Tangerang City Government stakeholders and relevant agencies, are monitoring homecoming traffic at the Rest Area Service Post KM 13.5. Based on monitoring results, traffic conditions remain smooth,” he said.
He explained that based on preliminary monitoring, vehicle volume passing through remains around 10 per cent with no vehicle congestion visible either on the main route or at the KM 13.5 rest area.
“The peak homecoming traffic is estimated to occur on 18-19 March or H-2 Lebaran. Currently, it is still around 10 per cent and there is no vehicle congestion,” he stated.
The police chief also confirmed the readiness of support facilities at the service post, ranging from health services, ambulances, fire brigades to towing vehicles to assist travellers encountering difficulties during their journey.
“This post has a health clinic, ambulances, fire brigade vehicles, towing vehicles and medical personnel. We are also providing free health screenings and medicines for travellers in need,” he added.
