Tangerang-Merak Toll Road Traversed by 1.9 Million Vehicles up to H+1 of Eid
PT Marga Mandalasakti (MMS), the operator of the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road (Tamer), recorded 1,936,584 vehicles traversing the route during the mudik period from H-10 to H+1 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026. “From 11 to 22 March 2026, the cumulative volume of vehicles crossing the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road totalled 1,936,584 vehicles,” said Uswatun Hasanah, Head of the CSR and Public Relations Management Department of Astra Toll Tangerang-Merak at PT MMS, in Tangerang, Banten, on Monday. According to her, the vehicle crossing figures for that period increased by approximately 5.6% with an average daily traffic of 144,379 vehicles. “This represents a 9.5% increase compared to the normal average daily traffic (LHR),” she stated. She revealed that, based on crossings at each toll gate (GT), for instance, at the Cikupa Toll on the Tangerang-Merak route from 11 to 22 March 2026, the figure reached 495,139 vehicles. The daily traffic there was 50,183 vehicles, up 7.3% from the same period and 30.6% higher than the normal average daily traffic (LHR). Meanwhile, the outgoing traffic (exit) at the Merak Toll Gate towards Merak Port and surrounding areas during the same period was recorded at 135,523 vehicles. “On Sunday, 22 March 2026, the traffic volume reached 8,177 vehicles, down 3.2% from the same period in 2025, but up 16.6%,” she explained. Uswatun explained that during the Eid al-Fitr holiday on 21 March 2026, a cumulative total of 1,788,995 vehicles had also crossed the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road. With an average daily traffic of 120,789 vehicles, this was 0.6% lower than the same period or a 17.3% decrease from the normal LHR. “For individual toll gates, such as the Cikupa entrance, 444,956 vehicles were recorded. The Merak exit reached 127,346 vehicles,” she said.
