Tangerang-Merak Toll Road Damage: Governor Andra Soni Urges Accelerated Repairs

Banten Governor Andra Soni has received complaints from the public regarding damage to the Tangerang-Merak toll road (Tamer) ahead of the Lebaran exodus period. Andra has expressed hope that the toll road operators will complete repairs according to the agreed target.

“I have received several complaints from the public regarding toll road damage. We have communicated with the toll road operators to ensure that the repairs are completed 10 days before Eid (H-10),” Andra said in Serang City on Tuesday (10 March 2026).

He also expressed hope that weather conditions would support the repair work. According to him, heavy rainfall in recent days has hampered the repair project.

“However, we see that rainfall levels remain high and this has somewhat hindered the repair process. Nevertheless, repair efforts continue because this is our responsibility to carry out,” he said.

Andra stated that all parties are making efforts to ensure that the Lebaran exodus is safe and comfortable.

“The target is that repairs should also proceed according to plan 10 days before Eid,” he said.

It is noted that Eid falls on 21 March 2026, meaning that H-10 before Eid falls on 11 March 2026.

Andra said that before Ramadan, a coordination meeting had been held at the Ministry of Transport with all stakeholders. He reminded that there is an agreement that repairs must be completed 10 days before Eid.

“In accordance with the coordination meeting we held with the Ministry of Transport before Ramadan, all relevant parties have been targeted to complete repairs 10 days before Eid,” he said.
