Tangerang Man Forced to Masturbate and Recorded by Boss, Video Distributed as Threat

The case of a man named Perubahan Gulo, who was assaulted and abused, came to light after a video circulated showing the victim badly beaten and allegedly being forced to masturbate. The video was recorded by the victim’s boss and subsequently distributed.

“The one who recorded it was his boss, and it was passed on by the boss’s younger brother to various people. To this day, the perpetrators remain at large,” said the victim’s legal counsel, Risman Harefa, on Wednesday (5/8/2026).

The incident occurred in Panongan, Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Tuesday (28/7). He said the video was spread via the WhatsApp (WA) messaging application to threaten the victim and his family.

“Yes, it was a threat aimed at the victim and his family. They have suffered immense psychological pressure, and to this day the victim and his family are afraid to leave their home because the perpetrators have not been arrested by the police,” he said.

The video was stored on the mobile phone of one of the perpetrators, namely the boss of the savings and loan cooperative, or mobile bank. From that phone, the video then spread until it went viral.

“From the information we have received, the video was sent by the perpetrator’s younger brother to the victim’s relatives. The source was the phone of ED, the boss,” he said.

Victim Wanted to Leave the Mobile Bank

Perubahan Gulo became a victim of assault and was forced to masturbate by his colleagues because he wanted to resign from his workplace. The victim’s legal counsel, Risman Harefa, said the victim, who had only worked for four days at a savings and loan cooperative, or mobile bank, had approached his boss on the day of the incident, Tuesday (28/7).

“Our client worked at a cooperative business unit, or mobile bank, in Panongan. Then, because he felt the business was not legitimate, he resigned and informed his boss,” said Risman on Monday (4/8).

However, the boss refused the request and detained the victim to prevent him from going home. The victim was then assaulted when another perpetrator, who was his co-worker, arrived.

“But at that time, the boss did not accept it straight away; instead, the man was held while waiting for other employees as they drank alcohol,” he said.

Five Suspects Reported

He said his client was assaulted and beaten by the perpetrators while they were drunk. Including the boss with the initials ED, five people have been reported on suspicion of assaulting Perubahan Gulo.

“There are five people reported. So, this is a case of assault,” he said.

The alleged assault lasted more than five hours, until around 04.30 WIB on Wednesday (29/7). Not only was the victim assaulted, he was also forced to watch pornographic films and masturbate.

“So when he was ordered to masturbate, he was given a mobile phone to watch a pornographic film while they recorded it, and that video has now spread widely,” he said.
