Tangerang Commuter Rail and Soekarno-Hatta Airport Rail Link Services Resume Normal Operations After Disruption
TANGERANG — Tangerang commuter rail and Soekarno-Hatta Airport Rail Link services resumed normal operations following a disruption on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.
Leza Arlan, Manager of Public Relations at KAI Commuter, stated that staff had evacuated the disrupted commuter train.
“At 19:39 WIB, services resumed after a technical issue affected the Duri-Tangerang commuter line,” Leza said in a written statement on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, all passengers stranded on the train were diverted to the next available service at Bojong Indah Station.
“All users of Commuter Line 1978A were rerouted to Commuter Line 1980A for the next departure at Bojong Indah Station,” he added.
The disruption caused three Tangerang commuter trains and four Soekarno-Hatta Airport Rail Link services to be delayed.
Passenger congestion occurred at Duri Station, prompting crowd control measures in the second-floor hall to ensure platform safety.
Leza added that KAI Commuter is currently working to normalise services and clear train queues to minimise further delays.
“KAI Commuter apologised for the delays and inconvenience caused by the disruption,” Leza said.
