A team of assessors from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM carried out a field verification for the 2026 Performance Assessment of One-Stop Integrated Services (PTSP) and Business Licensing Acceleration (PPB) in Tangerang City, Banten, on Tuesday (11/8/2026). The activity is a follow-up to the previous presentation stage and serves as a verification process for the implementation of PTSP and PPB in the city. To ensure the assessment results, the team conducted the field verification at the Tangerang City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP), which is integrated with the Public Service Mall.

Wisnu Soedijo from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM assessment team stated that Tangerang City was selected as one of the six best nominees after an evaluation process involving regions across Indonesia. ‘This field verification is to check and recheck previous results, both through document verification and field verification by the surveyor team,’ Wisnu told the media at the Tangerang City Public Service Mall (MPP) on Tuesday. He added that prior to this stage, each region had also participated in a presentation session delivered by regional leaders. The assessment does not only look at administrative aspects but also covers various elements directly related to the quality of public services.

Expert assessor Meyer Siburian explained that the indicators examined include infrastructure, human resources, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and oversight mechanisms. He stressed that the field verification in Tangerang is not an initial assessment but a verification stage for regions that have already been ranked among the best. From the six nominated regions, the assessment team will subsequently determine the best ranking, with the final results scheduled to be announced the following month. According to Meyer, the main objective of the assessment is not solely to determine the best region but to encourage local governments to improve the quality of governance and public services. The assessment is also expected to strengthen the transparency and integrity of public service officials. He emphasised that a government award should not be the ultimate goal, as the true measure of success is whether the public directly experiences improvements in service. He encouraged the people of Tangerang City to provide input to the local government so that service quality can be continuously improved. ‘A trophy is meaningless if the public, as users of public services, do not feel the benefits,’ he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tangerang City DPMPTSP, Sugihharto Achmad Bagdja, said that service quality improvements are also being driven through the use of technology and social media. He noted that service innovation and public communication via social media are not only related to the BKPM performance assessment but are also part of efforts to fulfil obligations and monitor governance, including in the context of the Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) Monitoring Centre for Prevention (MCP). He mentioned that several ministries and agencies have paid attention to the Tangerang City Government’s social media management, with the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) even expressing appreciation and opening up opportunities for further collaboration. ‘Alhamdulillah, our social media presence is improving, and hopefully this provides satisfaction to the public in optimising the services provided by the City Government, not just DPMPTSP but the entire city government,’ Sugihharto said. He stressed that public responses, both positive and negative, serve as evaluation material, and efforts are made to respond to complaints submitted via social media. ‘If there are complaints, we respond. There are negative and positive ones, but alhamdulillah, so far the positive ones outweigh the negative,’ he added. For the Tangerang City Government, being included in the top six of the national PTSP performance assessment is hoped to be more than just an achievement. The evaluation results and public input will be part of a continuous effort to improve the quality of public services and create a government that is more transparent, responsive, and oriented towards the needs of the community.
