Tangerang City Secretary Monitors Inaugural WFH, Ensures Optimal Public Services
Herman emphasised that all agencies directly involved in public services continue to operate fully. “In line with the directives, work-from-home is being implemented today to promote energy efficiency. However, I reiterate that for public service agencies, all employees must report to work and provide optimal services. Public services must not be disrupted,” Herman stated firmly in a written statement on Friday (10/4/2026). He made these remarks while inspecting the Tangerang City Civil Registry and Population Records Office (Disdukcapil) on Friday (10/4). Through this direct oversight, the Tangerang City Government reaffirms its commitment to executing central government instructions on energy efficiency without compromising public interests. In addition, Herman visited the Tangerang City Labour Department (Disnaker) Office. During this opportunity, he engaged in discussions with various strategic stakeholders in the labour sector, such as the Tangerang City APINDO, FKPT, LPK Forum, and the Tangerang City BPJS Ketenagakerjaan team. This meeting is expected to strengthen synergy between the government, business world, and vocational training institutions in maintaining the investment climate while enhancing worker welfare in Tangerang City. “This collaboration is crucial to ensure that workforce absorption continues to increase and social security protection for workers remains guaranteed,” he said. He also added that efforts to achieve energy efficiency through the WFH policy must go hand in hand with optimal work productivity. “The government and business community must continue to collaborate so that these energy-saving efforts can proceed without reducing work productivity and effectiveness,” he concluded. Meanwhile, various public services in Tangerang City continue to operate fully, including population administration services (Disdukcapil), Public Service Mall, building and vehicle tax payments, health services at hospitals and community health centres, BPBD, Satpol PP, Transportation Department (Dishub), and other public services. With this step, the Tangerang City Government ensures that services to the community remain the top priority amid the ongoing efficiency policies.
