Tangerang City Investment Services Continuously Driven to Become Easier and More Certain
Ease of doing business is a vital component in driving regional economic activity. Fast, easy, and certain licensing services can assist business actors in conducting business operations while simultaneously opening economic opportunities for the community.
Efforts to strengthen these services are being continuously undertaken by the Tangerable City Government through various improvements in investment services and innovations in the licensing process. This step aligns with the business world’s need for services that are simple, transparent, professional, and provide certainty.
The Mayor of Tangerang, Sachrudin, stated that ease of doing business must go hand in hand with improving the quality of government services. He made this statement after the Tangerang City Government received appreciation at the 2026 Investment Service Awards (ALI) presented by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).
“Today, the Tangerang City Government has received appreciation from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming after undergoing a long selection process involving 93 cities across Indonesia. This serves as motivation for us to continue realising a conducive investment climate through service improvements and various innovations. Thank you to the BKPSDM ranks. Let us build the city together!” said Sachrudin in Tangerang on Wednesday, 16 September 2026.
According to Sachrudin, investment is not only related to the amount of capital entering the region. Investment activity is also linked to the movement of economic activities, the growth of the business world, and the job opportunities that can open up for the community.
Therefore, the Tangerang City Government continues to encourage licensing services that are faster, easier, certain, transparent, professional, and friendly. Various innovations are also being developed so that the business process can be simpler while providing certainty to business actors.
“The hope is that the easier it is for people to do business, the more economic activities will grow. Ultimately, the benefits can be felt by the community through the opening of job opportunities and increased economic activity in Tangerang City,” Sachrudin continued.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan P. Roeslani, emphasised the importance of the local government’s role in building an investment climate. According to him, investment growth is linked to efforts to expand employment opportunities.
“You all have helped improve the investment climate to the point of being able to attract investors from both domestic and foreign sources. Ultimately, investment must result in the creation of quality jobs. This is our collective task, especially since around two million babies are born in Indonesia every year. Therefore, investment is one way to open up more employment opportunities,” said Rosan.
Appreciation in the ALI 2026 was given in the City Government category for the Assessment of One-Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) Performance and the Acceleration of Business Implementation (PPB). The award was received by Sachrudin from the Vice Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Vice Head of BKPM, Todotua Pasaribu, during an event held at the Nusantara Auditorium, Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM Office, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 16 September 2026.
For the Tangerang City Government, this achievement serves as part of an evaluation to continuously improve the quality of investment services. The focus does not stop at appreciation, but rather on how increasingly easy and certain services can support business activities, drive the economy, and expand benefits for the community.
