The Secretary General of Tangerang City, H. Herman Suwarman, conducted direct monitoring on the first Friday of the Work From Home (WFH) policy implementation within the City Government (Pemkot) environment. This monitoring aims to ensure that, despite the introduction of a dynamic work system, the quality of services to the public remains optimal and does not decline. In his statement, the Secretary General emphasised that all agencies directly involved in public services continue to operate fully. “As per the directives, WFH is being implemented today for energy efficiency. However, I reiterate that for public service agencies, all employees must report for duty and provide optimal services. Public services must not be disrupted,” said Herman Suwarman, while inspecting the Tangerang City Civil Registry and Population Records Office (Disdukcapil) on Friday (10/04/2026). Through this direct oversight, the Tangerang City Government reaffirms its commitment to executing central government instructions on energy efficiency without compromising public interests. Additionally, the Secretary General also visited the Tangerang City Manpower Office (Disnaker). During this opportunity, he engaged in discussions with various strategic stakeholders in the labour sector, such as the Tangerang City APINDO, FKPT, LPK Forum, and the Tangerang City Manpower BPJS team. This meeting is expected to strengthen synergy between the government, the business world, and job training institutions in maintaining the investment climate while enhancing worker welfare in Tangerang City. “This collaboration is crucial to ensure that workforce absorption continues to increase and social security protection for workers remains guaranteed,” stated the Secretary General. He also added that energy efficiency efforts through the WFH policy must go hand in hand with optimal work productivity. “The government and the business world must continue to collaborate so that these energy-saving efforts can proceed without reducing work productivity and effectiveness,” he said. Various public services in Tangerang City continue to operate fully, including: population administration services (Disdukcapil), Public Service Mall, building and vehicle tax payments, healthcare services at hospitals and community health centres, BPBD, Satpol PP, Transportation Office (Dishub), and other public services. With this step, the Tangerang City Government ensures that services to the public remain the top priority amid the implemented efficiency policies.
