Tangerang City Government Receives Two Awards Thanks to the Bangga Kencana Programme
The Tangerang City Government has received two awards simultaneously at the Banten provincial level. The awards were given for the city government’s achievements in building quality families through the Family Development, Population, and Family Planning Programme (Bangga Kencana). The first award was presented by the Minister of Population and Family Development/Head of BKKBN for the Preparation of the 2025 Quality Population Development Roadmap Document (PJPK). The second award was given by the Banten Governor for the Best Performance Achievement I across Banten Province. Tangerang Mayor H. Sachrudin stated that this achievement is not merely a accolade but a mandate to continue delivering programmes that truly benefit the community. “This award is not the end goal, but motivation for us all to work even better. The most important thing is how the Bangga Kencana programme can be present and provide real impact for families in Tangerang City,” said Sachrudin in a written statement on Wednesday (1/4/2026). This was conveyed while attending the Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) for the Bangga Kencana Programme at the Banten Provincial Level for 2026 at the Banten Governor’s Pendopo, KP3B Serang, today. At the meeting, Sachrudin was accompanied by the Chair of the Tangerang City PKK TP, Masturoh Sachrudin. On this occasion, the Tangerang City Government also received support in the form of Special Allocation Funds (DAK) from the Ministry of Population and Family Development/BKKBN amounting to Rp6 billion in the form of Family Planning Operational Assistance (BOKB). Sachrudin emphasised that this support will be utilised optimally to strengthen services at the community level. These services range from family education, population control, to improving the quality of life for vulnerable groups. “Our focus is not only on assistance, but on empowerment. We want families in Tangerang City to become increasingly independent, healthy, and capable,” he added. Moving forward, the Tangerang City Government will continue to strengthen cross-sectoral collaboration, ensuring that every programme not only runs but truly touches and improves the quality of life of the community. Meanwhile, Banten Governor Andra Soni emphasised that the family is the main foundation of development success. “If the family is strong, then the region will also be strong. Therefore, all government programmes must start from family strengthening,” he asserted. He also highlighted the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG) targeting the 3B groups—pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers—which has reached millions of people in Banten Province. As a form of support, the Banten Provincial Government also handed over electric bicycles to Family Companion Teams (TPK) across all regencies/cities. For Tangerang City, this assistance was received by Pinang Subdistrict TPK cadre, Umi Nurjanah. This assistance is expected to improve mobility and the effectiveness of community accompaniment.
