Tangerang City Government Partners with Poltrada to Train Transportation Staff
This collaboration represents an important step in realising superior transportation human resources in Tangerang City. Tangerang (ANTARA) - The Tangerang City Government (Pemkot), Banten, is partnering with Indonesia’s Land Transportation Polytechnic (Poltrada) to develop employee capacity, ranging from training and knowledge exchange to strengthening competencies in the transportation sector. “Collaboration is strength. When government and the world of education walk together, the quality of services and development will advance further,” said Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin in his statement in Tangerang on Thursday. The signing of the memorandum of understanding was carried out directly by Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin at the Garuda Laksana Building, Poltrada Bali, today (7/5), as a step to strengthen collaboration between local government and educational institutions in improving the quality of competent, professional, and competitive human resources. He stated that this cooperation is part of Pemkot Tangerang’s commitment to continuously open opportunities for collaboration with various educational institutions to support sustainable regional development. The Head of the Centre for Land Transportation Human Resource Development, Human Resource Development Agency for Transportation (BPSDMP) of the Ministry of Transportation, Bambang Siswoyo, appreciated Tangerang City Government’s step in building collaboration in organising Indonesia’s transportation system. According to him, this cooperation is an important step in realising superior transportation human resources in Tangerang City. “It is very important, because with this cooperation, it means synergy between the central government, especially transportation, and the Tangerang City Government is well established. The main point is how to prepare transportation human resources who have good transportation competencies,” he explained.
