Tangerang City Government continues to pursue innovations that directly address community needs. Coinciding with the commemoration of Tangerang City’s 33rd Anniversary, Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin officially launched Bentor Pangan Sahabat Masyarakat (Bang Sama), a mobile food shopping service that is practical, easily accessible, and affordable.

During the event, Sachrudin explained that Bang Sama is part of Tangerang City Government’s efforts to implement the Gampang Sembako (Easy Basic Commodities) programme. The initiative also serves as a solution to bring access to basic necessities shopping closer to the community, particularly in residential areas.

The launch of Bang Sama represents Tangerang City Government’s effort to maintain food price affordability, control regional inflation, and strengthen economic resilience among residents.

“Today we are launching Bang Sama, a community food vendor vehicle. This is one of Tangerang City Government’s efforts in implementing the Gampang Sembako programme, so that people find it increasingly easy and comfortable in meeting their daily needs,” said Sachrudin in a written statement on Sunday (1 March 2026).

At the initial stage, Bang Sama is being introduced through three food vendor units that will operate at various points in residential areas. Sachrudin explained that through a concept of direct service delivery to residents, the Bang Sama easy basic commodities service will circulate directly to supply food commodities, particularly cheap yet quality rice. This service represents a collaboration between Tangerang City Government and Bulog’s Tangerang branch.

“Through Bang Sama, people can shop more conveniently, more easily, and certainly at prices below market rates. Hopefully, this can help ease the burden of household expenditure,” he concluded.
