Tangerang City Government Introduces Affordable Shopping Tourism During Ramadhan 1447 H

Tangerang City Government, Banten, is presenting a number of affordable shopping tourism activities during the month of Ramadhan 1447 H, including Gampang Sembako, Al-Azhom Festival and Jakcloth Lebaran Fair 2026.

Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin stated that Jakcloth Lebaran Fair 2026 is a collaboration between Tangerang City Government and 70 renowned local brands ready to delight the public with quality fashion products at affordable prices.

“This largest local clothing exhibition is projected to contribute to economic growth and tourism in Tangerang City as it brings dozens of local industry players from various regions to Tangerang,” he said.

Jakcloth founder Ucok Nasution urged all members of the public to come and shop as the prices offered are very affordable whilst maintaining the highest quality.

Head of Tangerang City Culture and Tourism Department Boyke Urif Hermawan added that Jakcloth Lebaran Fair 2026 is expected to create a multiplier effect for various other economic sectors.

“This is not merely a clothing exhibition; Jakcloth Lebaran Fair 2026 is one of the shopping tourism events during Ramadan that will attract thousands of visitors from within and outside Tangerang City,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Food Security Department is presenting the “Gampang Sembako Ramadhan” programme across 13 sub-districts until 13 March 2026 to help the public obtain essential commodities at prices lower than market rates.

The “Ramadan Al-A’zhom Festival” running from 18 February to 18 March 2026 presents educational and recreational activities for families.

“Our focus is on how Al-A’zhom Mosque can become a centre of civilisation and economy for the community through a Ramadan bazaar involving dozens of local MSMEs as well as various Islamic arts competitions for young people,” said Malkan, the Ramadan Al-A’zhom Festival executive coordinator.
