Tangerang City Administration Deploys Six Integrated Security Posts Along Homecoming Routes
Tangerang — Tangerang City Government, working alongside the Tangerang City Metro Police, has deployed Integrated Security Posts (Pospam) and Service Posts (Posyan) at various strategic locations, particularly along the main homecoming routes for Eid holiday travel.
“The posts provided can be utilised by travellers as rest areas or for health checks, both during the outbound journey and return journey for Eid,” said Achmad Suhaely, Head of the Tangerang City Transportation Agency (Dishub), in Tangerang on Thursday.
He stated that six Pospam and Posyan have been mobilised, including the Integrated Pospam at Taman Pramuka Daan Mogot, Poris Plawad Terminal Post, Robinson Mart Daan Mogot Post, Magnolia Jatake Jatiuwung Post, KM 14 Pinang Rest Area Post, and KM 13.5 Kunciran Rest Area Post.
The city administration has also coordinated with various parties to collaborate in ensuring security during the Eid homecoming travel, which is predicted to reach its peak next week.
Tangerang City Government will also implement additional homecoming preparations, ranging from installation of portable directional signage (RPPJ), public vehicle roadworthiness testing (ramp check), to optimisation of the Area Traffic Control System (ATCS) in the near future.
“We have prepared everything and are waiting for implementation together with other agencies,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Tangerang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has also mobilised personnel to anticipate potential emergencies, such as natural disasters and non-disaster situations like fires, fallen trees, and other emergency conditions during the Eid holiday period.
“During the Eid period we remain on full alert. Approximately 80 personnel are on duty daily in rotation to monitor conditions in the area and respond to community reports,” said Mahdiar, Head of the BPBD Tangerang City Implementation Unit.
He explained that personnel are deployed from the BPBD Command Headquarters (Mako), four technical implementation units, and four fire stations located across various areas of Tangerang City. This placement is designed to accelerate response in case of emergencies in the field.
