Tangerang Chicken and Processed Meat Processing Plant Fire Still Burning

TANGERANG, KOMPAS.com — A chicken and processed meat processing plant owned by PT Adik Mart/CCK in Telaga Village, Cikupa District, Tangerang Regency, caught fire in the early hours of Thursday (28 May 2026). Firefighters are still working to extinguish the blaze.

“The situation is still red and firefighting is ongoing,” said Tangerang Regency Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Chief Achmad Taufik in a written statement on Thursday.

Upon receiving the report, the agency immediately deployed seven fire trucks from Curug Fire Headquarters, Pasar Kemis Fire Station, Balaraja Fire Station, Kelapa Dua Fire Station, Rajeg Fire Station, and Tigaraksa Fire Station.

Upon arrival, firefighters began extinguishing efforts, which are still ongoing as the fire has not yet been fully extinguished.

Estimated losses have yet to be assessed as firefighting continues.

“The extent of damage has yet to be determined,” he said.

However, Tangerang Regency BPBD confirmed there were no casualties. “No fatalities,” said Achmad.
