Tang here for four-day visit

KUALA LUMPUR (AP): Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan arrived in Malaysia yesterday for a four-day official visit.

Tang flew in from the Philippines, where he just attended a meeting of officials from member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

He will discuss bilateral and international issues with Malaysian Foreign Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and meet with Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.

Malaysia maintains good relations with China and simultaneously promotes its ties with Taiwan.
