Tanamur to have new exterior

JAKARTA (JP): Tanamur, the oldest discotheque in town, will
have a new look by the end of this month.

"The renovation of the exterior is aimed at maintaining our
customers," said the owner of the disco, Ahmad Fahmy, on Monday.

The interior of the discotheque, which he called "chaos
style", will be reflected in the new exterior. The plan was
designed by his American friend, Tom Elliot.

"It's not a post-modern style or whatever. It is a free art
work which reflects the disco's atmosphere," he said.

Ahmad said that so far he has no plans to redecorate the
interior of the disco.

He said that the renovation does not affect the hours of the
disco, which, during the Ramadhan fasting month, are from 9:00
p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (mas)
