Tanah Abang Market Crowded with Shoppers ahead of Eidh

Tanah Abang Market in Jakarta has been crowded with shoppers preparing for the Eid celebration. According to market management, the number of visitors shopping at the market is estimated to reach between 60,000 and 70,000 people per day ahead of Eid, significantly higher compared to ordinary days which only see approximately 15,000 to 20,000 visitors per day. The market’s pedestrian bridges connecting the train station to Tanah Abang Market have been particularly congested as shoppers flock to purchase clothing and other merchandise in preparation for the festive season.
