Tamiang Temporary Housing Repairs Completed, Facilities Ready for Use

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The temporary housing (huntara) facilities in Tamiang, Aceh, are back in operation following comprehensive repairs. This restoration is crucial to ensure residents’ activities proceed safely and comfortably.

PT Nindya Karya has announced the completion of the arrangement and repair of facilities at the Tamiang Temporary Housing (Huntara) as of 28 April 2026. The repair process followed an evaluation of the facility conditions on 21 April 2026.

The repairs encompassed the arrangement of affected areas, reinforcement of basic structures, and improvement of access walkways. All work was carried out with consideration for quality and safety aspects.

Project Manager of PT Nindya Karya, Irwan, stated that the repairs were focused on enabling the facilities to be used optimally again. “We ensure that every stage of the work proceeds well so that the facilities can be used safely and comfortably by the community. We also continue to conduct field monitoring to keep the conditions maintained,” said Irwan in a press release on Thursday (30/4/2026).

With the completion of the work, residents have resumed utilising the facilities for their daily activities. Mobility in the housing environment has also begun to recover.

One resident expressed appreciation for the accelerated repair of the facilities. “We thank the government, Danantara Indonesia for responding quickly, and the entire Nindya Karya project team who worked diligently to repair our housing paths until we feel more comfortable,” he said.

Nindya Karya stated that it will continue to monitor the facility conditions periodically to maintain quality and the sustainability of the housing function.
