Tamiang Temporary Housing Facilities Damaged, Nindya Karya Accelerates Repairs within 4 Days
JAKARTA - PT Nindya Karya is accelerating repairs to the pedestrian facilities at the Temporary Housing (Huntara) in Tamiang, Aceh. The damage arose due to usage beyond their intended function.
Project Manager for Huntara Tamiang at Nindya Karya, Irwan, stated that the damage was discovered on 21 April during a field evaluation.
The pedestrian paths were used inappropriately. Several motor vehicles passed through the area. The path structures were not designed to withstand vehicle loads.
This situation caused excessive loading. The impact was evident in the sagging of structures and damage at several points. This posed a risk of disrupting the comfort and safety of the residents.
“In the field, we ensure that repairs can proceed quickly and accurately so that the facilities can be used again safely as soon as possible,” he said in a written statement on Saturday (25/4/2026).
Irwan mentioned that the work is targeted for completion within four working days. The process is carried out with attention to safety and quality aspects.
The facilities are expected to be usable by the community again in the near future.
“We are also continuing to strive to provide the best for the people of Aceh affected by the disaster,” he added.
