Tambourine players support Megawati

MAGELANG, Central Java: A group of tambourine players in Magelang
declared their support on Thursday for presidential candidate
Megawati Soekarnoputri and her running mate Hasyim Muzadi.

"The two represent the nationalist and nationalist Islam, and
the combination of both elements will be very ideal for the
upcoming government," said M. Saefudin, the chairman of the
tambourine grouping, which mostly plays Islamic songs.

Saefudin boasted that the group had 1,075 members in Magelang
and it had produced 21 cassettes and Video Compact Discs (VCD).
