Tambora House Left in Ruins After Gas Explosion

From the photos received, the blast destroyed a cream-painted two-storey house. The roof appeared damaged. Inside the house, particularly the kitchen, looked in disarray. The fence was torn off. The incident occurred around 05:20 WIB. The explosion is suspected to have originated from a 12-kilogram gas leak. The homeowner was injured. The victim, identified as SKC (71), was found with burns over a large part of the body and was rushed to hospital. According to witnesses at the scene, the explosion was loud enough to alarm nearby residents who fled their homes. The house was severely damaged; the blast also damaged the roof and affected several surrounding houses. Police have conducted a series of actions including visiting and securing the scene, taking witness statements, coordinating with the Metro Jakarta Barat Police Identification Team, and placing a police line at the location.
