Tamara, Chinatrust tie up
JAKARTA (JP): Tamara Bank and Chinatrust Commercial Bank of
Taiwan will soon establish a joint venture bank in Indonesia to
tap the growing business ties between the two countries.
Tamara Bank announced here yesterday that the joint venture
agreement was signed here on Tuesday by the bank's chairman, Pek
Teng Beng, and the chairman of the Taiwanese bank, Jefferey L.S.
Koo.
Tamara Bank, which is listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange
(JSX), has established business ties with overseas companies,
including Hanil Bank of South Korea, Chailease Group of Taiwan
and Vickers Ballas, a Singapore-based securities company.(hen)
