Taman Safari Launches the IAPVC 2026 Wildlife Visual Competition
Jakarta — The International Animal Photo & Video Competition (IAPVC) 2026 was officially launched at Taman Bendera Pusaka on Friday, 23 May 2026, marking 35 years of the most prestigious wildlife visual competition in Indonesia. IAPVC has continued to develop into an international platform that serves as a storytelling hub for wildlife through photography and videography.
Agus Santoso, a member of the Board Advisory of the Taman Safari Indonesia Group, said that as it reaches its 35th year, the competition adopts the theme From Lens to Legacy. This theme illustrates how photographic and videographic works can be more than mere visual documentation, but also carry meaningful messages.
“Each image has the power to inspire and create a legacy of awareness that can impact future generations. IAPVC itself is a legacy worthy of celebration every year, a long journey that continues to connect creativity, education, and the spirit of conservation through visual works,” he said in a statement on Saturday, 23 May 2026.
This year, IAPVC broadens its reach not only within Indonesia but also to Southeast Asia and Australia. The expansion strengthens IAPVC’s position as one of the leading wildlife visual competitions globally.
