Taman Mini has new bus terminal

JAKARTA (JP): The new bus terminal at the Indonesia in
Miniature Park (Taman Mini) in East Jakarta is scheduled to start
operating on Sept. 12.

The new terminal is located five kilometers from Kampung
Rambutan bus terminal, which is used by both city buses and
inter-city buses to drop and pick up passengers.

Head of the City Land Traffic Control Agency JP Sepang said
that his agency will not allow big buses to operate at the Taman
Mini bus terminal. This is to prevent the operation of minivans,
currently serving the terminal, from being affected.

"My office has no intention of allowing big buses to operate
there," he said, adding that the terminal, which is located on
Jl. Pondok Gede Raya, will be used as transit terminal only for
minivans. (yns)
