Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has urged the public planning to visit Taman Bendera Pusaka in South Jakarta to use public transport, as parking capacity in the park area is limited.

Pramono made this statement after officially inaugurating Taman Bendera Pusaka in South Jakarta on Saturday (14 March 2026). He acknowledged that the available parking in the area would be unable to accommodate all visitor vehicles.

“If I were to say parking is not a problem, I would certainly be lying,” Pramono said.

Pramono noted that the park’s location is situated in an area easily accessible by public transport. He mentioned that visitors could disembark in the Blok M area and then continue their journey to the park.

“However, I am confident that because this has become a major public transport corridor in Jakarta, everyone can now easily reach Blok M, and from Blok M to here is quite close,” he said.

Consequently, Pramono urged the public to utilise public transport when visiting the park. Nevertheless, he stated that parking areas would still be available for visitors bringing private vehicles.

“That they may bring vehicles and so forth, there are indeed parking spaces available, but I am confident they will not be sufficient for that,” he explained.

Taman Bendera Pusaka is a new green space that was created by integrating three parks in the South Jakarta area: Taman Ayodya, Taman Leuser, and Taman Langsat.

The approximately 5.6-hectare park is equipped with various facilities, including a 1.2-kilometre jogging track, a multipurpose sports field, and a padel court. The park area is also equipped with surveillance cameras (CCTV) and will be open to the public 24 hours a day.
